Moxibustion In Clinical Practice

Course Description

Moxibustion is a form of therapy in which the practitioner burns herbs to introduce heat into the body. It has been part of Chinese medical practice for thousands of years, often as an adjunct to Acupuncture and Bodywork Therapy. Moxibustion is effective in helping therapists treat a wide range of conditions, including pain, spasm and fatigue.

This workshop gives Oriental Bodywork Therapists the theory and technique they need to immediately integrate moxibustion into their clinical practice. We assume that participants have an understanding of basic Oriental physiology and Channel theory, since we will discuss the TCM energic actions and indications of this therapy.

Participants will receive a complete moxibustion kit designed for Oriental Bodywork practice. It contains all the materials you need for the workshop, and enough to get you started in your clinic.
